The little village of Infanta is one of several villages that lie on the banks of the Breede River as it flows from its source near Ceres. It is located in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Infanta is a beautiful but small fishing town and is approximately 2 hours away from Cape Town itself which makes it convenient for visitors to spend a day or weekend here. Despite being a small village, Infanta has a variety of accommodation options available from Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts to Self-catering units.
There are a number of camping sites and chalets in the area if you are wanting to spend more than a day. Charter boats are also available in the area by appointment. There is so much to see and enjoy at this seaside settlement, the perfect escape from city life.
The area is a nature lovers paradise and it is just as popular amongst fishermen and surfers. One of the greatest attractions to this unspoiled area are the Southern Right whales.
Infanta has a thriving business community catering to the tourism industry and provides a wide range of goods and services to its residents as well as surrounding communities.
